About Me
I'm Sharon Carey, a Master Gardener based in Lawrence, Kansas—and someone who believes gardening should be fun, even when plants die and plans change.
That's because mistakes are the best teachers, gardens are never really "done," and fighting your conditions is a losing battle. I've gardened in California and Kansas—two completely different worlds—and had to relearn almost everything when I moved to Kansas. That experience taught me something important: there's no one "right" way to garden. You work with what you've got, you pay attention to what your space is telling you, and you stay flexible.
One thing I love doing is "shopping" in my own garden. I'll divide plants, move things that aren't happy where they are, and repurpose what's already growing. It saves money, and it's a reminder that your yard is already full of potential - and I'd love to help you see it!
And that's what I'm here for. When we walk your property together, there are no dumb questions. We'll explore and figure things out side by side. Whether you've never touched dirt or you've been at this for years, I'll meet you where you are.
